OKAY YOU PEOPLE the previous pages comments were such a wildly complimentary group brought on by Ty1233456789 that I don't even know how to begin responding to them! I'm overwhelmed and so deeply grateful! Thank each and every one of you all so much for your kindness!! ^_^ I'm going to keep on working harder than ever!

(...This is poor timing but I WILL need to take a week off or so coming up... More on that along with the next page!)

This page was really tough to write! I want things to be clear without being to explanation heavy, while still staying in character. (As AdvocateOfVoid pointed out on the previous page! Nice catch!)

Speaking of things people caught, user 'The Other Rick' pointed out on the last page that Dot X passed it's fourth year as a webcomic last week!

THAT'S CRAZY. Not only did I NEVER imagine I'd really be doing this for this long, but I was pretty convinced it'd only been three years... I was wrong though! WOW!

Happy 4th birthday to DotX! ^_^ Thanks for coming along on this journey, everyone! Here's to the future!

ok, ok. so upon closer inspection, this page (and this character) is really cool. fang has an animal "instinct rush" and anaconda made her feel like she was gonna die. the demon gave hwr a similar feeling... who was it that said anaconda is part demon?

Ok, well I guess it's time to type up another huge block of text on my thoughts, right? Right.

Honestly, this is a great webcomic and it's not just because of the premise. If anyone other that Sky were the author, I don't think it would be nearly as good. I like how the characters can go from a few chapters about practically nothing to something really important. And the story kind of comes to life in a way that it's like Pudding herself is the author because instead of us readers getting only chapters where the characters are doing something relevant to the plot, we're also getting chapters that might only be important to the characters themselves, no matter how important they are to us. It's like Pudding is taking every memory she holds dear, from when she almost got married to when she tried building her own clubhouse with her friends, and putting them in a book. (If you're expecting a closer on that thought, well, too bad, it's cutting off right here.)

Don't worry Sky, the page is good! In my opinion, the best way to keep a page from being explanation heavy is if the readers still don't quite understand what's happening in the end. Like the characters are only answering the questions the other characters might have, not the questions the readers have. (I'm not giving a closer for this one either. If you could imagine me cutting off suddenly with both of these thoughts, good, because for both of these I thought I could keep going, but I ran out of things to say half way through.)

I think for this page and the next page (maybe) I'm going to abstain from giving my own theories because I kinda wanna see what everyone else thinks first.

@AoV hahah yeah sure let's go with that. Joking aside, I think Anaconda is drawing power from A demon, not the same demon as the one inside Pudding. What do you think, AoV?
ty1233456789 21st Feb 2017, 8:59 PM edit delete reply
I think Anaconda is trying to summon an angel using Frisky's skygem and getting her power/magic from the demon, that's why she's dealing Frisky, (possibly) taking Audrey's magic necklace, and taking the book about the angels. She's looking for power by summoning the angel.
Secretkeeper626 21st Feb 2017, 11:37 PM edit delete reply
@ty123456789 to kill the demon! Of course! But that kind of magic must be destructive both mentally and physically... right?
ty1233456789 22nd Feb 2017, 7:35 AM edit delete reply
@SecretKeeper626, she seems like the sort of person who will do anything for the power of an angel

@Secretkeeper626
Hmm, well, for you 'second demon' theory (apostrophes to show that I'm talking about your first theory about two demons), a few levels of truths would need to be proven.
Demons that GIVE power rather than TAKE it also exist (whether these demons are benevolent rather than malevolent doesn't matter, but it'd be cool if this was a demon not acting purely out of evil intent (as my headcanon is that Anaconda isn't gonna be a total antagonist the whole way through, or maybe not at all)) > There are more demons loose around Hetrea right at this point of the story > More than one demon is in the Kingdom (or ex-kingdom, I haven't taken a very close look at the introduction yet) of Mobius > One of the demons is helping Anaconda
I think you must have thought of this already, but the reason I put it into sections is because hopefully I can help prove at least a few of these levels. Obviously, the most important level is gonna be the hardest to prove, so instead of posting this comment after I've started working on the truths, I'm posting it now, so that maybe if people are interested, they can help too. (analysis type: comma storm)

@ty1233456789
I don't think Anaconda took the necklace... not yet, at least. In my opinion, I think it's most likely that Anaconda's been in the library looking for the book. If she wanted the necklace first, that would mean she already knew the necklace existed AND knew how to use it which would mean that she's magic, too. Even if she could use it, how would she know how many hands it's passed through. She'd probably have gone to Audrey first. Sorry to shoot your theory down, but by eliminating the impossible, hopefully you'll find a better solution, and if you prove me wrong, then you'll be even more informed than before.

@everyone: Read ZooPhobia the online comic it's totally awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ty1233456789 22nd Feb 2017, 3:36 PM edit delete reply
@AoV, you didn't shoot down my theory, remember that (possibly) but now that I think about it, I'm not sure she knows that Pudfing has the demon, but she's definently stealing the skygem. I think.
Secretkeeper626 22nd Feb 2017, 3:54 PM edit delete reply
@ty123456789 Correction: Anaconda would have to steal Frisky's ENTIRE dress and, well, good luck with that.
AdvocateofVoid 22nd Feb 2017, 7:54 PM edit delete reply
AdvocateofVoid
I would love to see that. If we get to see Anaconda, like, just stealing an entire dress off someone I might actually cry.
triforce fandom 23rd Feb 2017, 11:18 AM edit delete reply
@AoV: Anaconda still might be a demonette, a mortal demon hybrid, that theory still holds a butt load of ground.

I know I said I wasn't gonna do any theories yet, but yesterday at like 9ish I thought of something for Secretkeeper's theory about Anaconda drawing power from another demon. I don't know if they've moved on from it or what but here's what I think could be a possibility (This is a very far-fetched theory that I fully expect to get disproved. Soon.): 7 demons for the 7 deadly sins.

But first, shoutout to zenpai, who exactly one month ago posted a comment on an almost 3-year-old page!

We already know this first demon's nature: "It was going to kill you and replace you, tricking everyone into thinking it was you." - Audrey. Page 109, Plan, 3/20/14. Accessed 2/23/17. (If you're wondering why I'm citing this in MLA format, and probably doing it wrong, I don't know either. Just go with it.) This sounds a lot like envy, which is to covet the possessions, attributes, and advantages of another.
(Screw segways.) Taking a look Anaconda, when she says "Frisky looks up to me, so she really wants me here." and "I can do whatever I want, and [Frisky]'ll still kiss up to me." we can tell those are her words and probably not what Frisky or anyone else would say. It seems that Anaconda has a, and I'm quoting this from Wikipedia, 'corrupt sense of personal value,' which may mean that she is (tri) or is drawing power from (Secret) the demon embodying pride.
To further support this theory, Frisky desires things in excess (greed) and Fang lashes out at Anaconda without provocation (wrath).
Secretkeeper626 23rd Feb 2017, 4:38 PM edit delete reply
@AoV not a bad idea, butt I was thinking the demons would be from another universe and there would be X amount of demons in this universe or something?? It was just a thought, I didn't expect it to be taken seriously.

I think there's going to be some really deep fate stuff, and everyone meeting like that and the demon inhabiting Pudding was all planned, and everyone that knows Pudding are all Gaurdians trying to vanquish the demon, and stop Anaconda from her nasty plots, or something like that.

Hey, if you post a comment that I find interesting, let alone post a comment with the words "What do you think, AoV?" in it, I feel like I should respond somehow. It just happens that this time I responded by giving a mini theory.
Secretkeeper626 23rd Feb 2017, 7:52 PM edit delete reply
@AoV I hardly consider myself a theorist, and I was asking you because it seems like you are the main theorist for this story, but I didn't expect you to analyze my idea so much and try to expand upon it.

Anytime anyone says a theory, always add "But that's just a theory, a DotX theory!"
Please. For me.

@Secretkeeper626
Firstly, I'm flattered. ^v^
Secondly, call it my bafflingly huge ego (jk, I hope...), but as well as presenting my own ideas, I like to piggyback off of other peoples' ideas and expand them in ways they might not have considered.
(Wouldn't it be so weird if I didn't follow this up with a 'thirdly?' Actually, it might not be to a lot of people (because I'm a huge nerd, and am possibly also wrong), but it's a sort of an unspoken grammar rule that when using those sequence words there should be at least three parts.)
Thirdly, just like you don't see yourself as a theorist, I don't see myself as the main theorist for this story, but that doesn't change how other people may see us. You've been around on this comic way longer than I have, and may be one of the more prominent commenters (these commenters being, and this is my opinion, you, explode7, ty1233456789, and AnonyMcMouse (though I haven't seen much of them lately, and I have no idea if they are as prominent as I think, because, believe it or not, I'm not re-reading the entire comic over again)), unlike me, who hadn't been keeping up with the comic until just recently. One of the reasons I've been commenting so much is because I've been getting positive feedback, and I want others to want to post more, too | Is this getting off topic? I think it's too late to finish my original point with this line of thought, so I'm randomly cutting in to tell you that at the beginning of this trainwreck I was trying to say that if you don't consider yourself a theorist, but you still post theories, then what are you? If you're saying that you didn't think your theory was deserving of the attention I gave it (I sound awful saying that, don't I), well then you should know that the only difference between your theories and my theories is that my theories are stretched out and I throw a few supporting facts (that sometimes aren't fully researched) in with them. In truth, your theory was more interesting than a lot of mine, and I expect that most people are just looking at the sheer magnitude of my comments and thinking, 'I'm not actually gonna read this, but boy, do I bet I would think it's impressive if I spent the hour it would take to read all of it.' Obviously someone somewhere must enjoy digging through my mad scribblings to try to understand what I was trying to say like it's a puzzle, and maybe I'm being a little hard on myself (but not too hard, because I can already tell that this is gonna be very long when I post it), but maybe you are, too. However, if what you really meant was that you're just astonished that I typed so much in response to a simple question, then yeah, I'm also surprised by how much I can ramble about nothing almost daily.

But that's just a theory, a DotX theory!
(I know that no part of what I said was a theory.)

What does the 'reply' option do? (This is a question for peeps with accounts) (Also, this comment is a result of me using it, so no one actually has to respond)

After hitting post:
Woah! This is cool!
Too bad I can only use it on my own comments, or it might actually be useful!

I know I've already posted, like, 7 comments already, but I just want to ask, does anyone else imagine their own characters helping out and being there on stuff they watch or read, because I sure do, especially in DotX. I just want to make sure I'm not a complete weirdo who's lonely and needs to feel accepted in any way possible, may that be as a fictional character in a fictional series. Unless I am a weirdo, then you all can answer accordingly.

Aww yeah, man! Way to not leave me alone as I talk to myself while I wait for the next update!

Naw, you're not alone. I sometimes like to imagine how a story might have been different if a voidy, awkward dude were there trying to contribute to what was goin' on. Sadly, as my character would probably be just as awkward as I am, I don't think they would end up participating at all in the things the main characters are doing most of the time. In that case I kinda picture my second 'character', a knowing time-traveler, appearing briefly to stop something stupid from happening, and then imagine what might happen after that. This one isn't really as much a character as it is a list of things I would do if I could time travel.
